BY FAILING TO PREPARE YOU ARE PREPARING TO FAIL.
Technology has now become a necessity to living. In the past we have witnessed that every industrial revolution has brought in structural changes thereby establishing a new normal. Human adaptation has been part and parcel of every revolution giving rise to new forms of intelligence and therefore, new skill sets.
The last 2 decades itself have witnessed several new job roles that did not exist before, and we are going to see this repeating. We did get reskilled to operate computers, leverage them for better efficiencies and have reached where we are today.
Yes, many resisted the change in the initial stages and eventually those who changed with time emerged to lead and those who did not had to take up lower level jobs.
More than ever before, today, THERE EXISTS AN URGENT NEED TO EMPOWER INDIVIDUALS WITH A NEW SET OF COMPETENCIES / ‘HUMAN ONLY TRAITS’ THAT CAN HELP THEM BECOME READY FOR THE RAPID ADVANCE OF AI AND OTHER DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
Academia, Corporate and the State – all have a crucial role to play in enhancing the workforce’s skill, as well as employability of graduating youth.
