Honored to Inaugrate ICSDP’25 – From Vision to Action

It was a profound honor to serve as 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫  at the 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘚𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘋𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘗𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴 2025 (𝘐𝘊𝘚𝘋𝘗’25), hosted by 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐲𝐚 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐊𝐈𝐓𝐒) and 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐲𝐚 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐊𝐒𝐌), with the academic partnership of 𝐒𝐚𝐡𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐚 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 (𝐒𝐈𝐌𝐒), 𝐊𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐚.

Sharing the dais with prince arulraj, Vice Chancellor of KITS, along with Martina Rani, joseph kennady, Dr.B.GIRI BABU, Jino Johny Malakkaran PhD, Jayashree Kannan and Nisha Malini was truly a privilege.

In my address, I reflected on the urgency of moving from vision to action in sustainability – where global goals must be translated into local hands and institutional trust. Tamil Nadu and Coimbatore stand as living laboratories: from women-led Self-Help Groups to 𝘚𝘪𝘳𝘶𝘵𝘩𝘶𝘭𝘪’s water body revival and the rejuvenation of Singanallur Lake, these are role models of resilience and collective stewardship.

Grateful to the organizers for curating such a purposeful dialogue. May this forum inspire all of us to act with integrity, courage, and imagination.
